SLP

Morrison Center is seeking a Speech & Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team (e.g., teachers, ed-techs/BHPs, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physical therapists). SLPs will gain experience with AAC, feeding and swallowing, articulation, language, dysfluency, pragmatics, and hearing. SLPs will provide services to a diverse student population – ages 5 to 22 – with varying impairments including but not limited to: Cerebral Palsy, Apraxia of Speech, dysarthria, Intellectual Disability, Down syndrome, nonverbal/verbal ASD, Dysfluency, Epilepsy, ADHD, Deaf/Blind, dysphagia, and genetic disorders.
This is a year-round position, therapists will work 233 school days/year including summer. The school calendar has 22 vacation days and 9 holidays built-in and staff accrue 8 additional discretionary paid time off days.
Requirements
State licensure via State of Maine as a Speech/Language Pathologist is required.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by ASHA is required.

Physical Therapist

Morrison Center is seeking a Part Time Long-Term Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team of professionals including Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Special Educators providing services to children in our Special Purpose K-12 and Preschool Programs.
This position would serve students in both our Scarborough location.
We have a year-round calendar with generous vacation, holiday and earned time off for full-time employees.
Requirements

Prior experience working with children with developmental disabilities preferred
Benefits
Part-time staff accrue earned time-off. The school calendar has 18 vacation days and 10 holidays built-in and staff accrue additional paid time off days.

Children's Case Manager

Children’s Case Manager
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Case Manager to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team in Scarborough, Maine. Case Managers develop individualized support plans for individuals served, using a person-centered planning process; analyze support strategies and assure that services received by clients adequately meet their needs; and assist individuals and their families to identify strategies that will enable them to meet their goals.
This position works with children who have an intellectual and/or developmental disability who are as young as 6 months old through 20 years old. The Case Manager is responsible for documentation in accordance with regulatory agencies such as the Department of Health and Human Services. The Case Manager represents the Morrison Center in the community and acts as a liaison with other agencies. The Case Manager will perform monthly home visits, school observation, and support families at IEP meetings, team meetings, and medical appointments. Case Managers will ensure that services do not expire and will complete 90 day continued stay reviews with the family.

$19.50 – $21.50/hour with different scheduling and pay structure options available.
Work the school calendar (234 working days a year) and spread your pay out evenly over 26 pay periods (salaried position). “Great schedule for those with kids in school!” 4 weeks vacation built-in and accrue 8 earned-time days to used throughout the year.

Clock in at the hourly rate and work full-time spending school vacations working in our Children’s Residential Programs and accrue vacation and sick time!

Morrison Center is looking for a full time Ed Tech 2s and 3s to join the strong teams in our special purpose schools in Wells and Scarborough. This is a full-time, year-round position working Monday through Friday with two staff meetings/professional time each week either before or after school.
Our school serves students with a variety of severe disabilities, including autism, physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, and behavioral challenges. This program is able to meet the needs of students in creative and innovative ways, even providing peers through integration into community activities. Our multidisciplinary team includes Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, BCBAs, and Special Education Teachers.
Ed Tech job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Assisting in planning and carrying out plans for students in both group and individual activities.
-Recording and maintaining student progress notes.
-Providing personal care, including activities of daily living skills and individual feeding and toileting programs.
-Helps to maintain and organize the classroom.
-Communicates effectively and professionally with supervisor, other members of the team, and parents.
-Contributes to a positive work environment that sustains or enhances the Center’s positive image and reputation for service.
-Successful completion of ongoing training requirements including BHP, First Aid/CPR, Crisis Intervention
Requirements:
- Must be Certified as an Ed Tech in the State of Maine
- Must be able to assist in moving students and be able to move and react quickly to student needs and behaviors.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.

Education:
Ed Tech III Certification requires 90 college credit hours. Ed Tech II Certification requires 60 college credit hours and/or documented paid work experience.
